If Someone You Love Fails in Life
Against the world's harshest standards, failing can be inevitable.
What if someone you love fails in life and he does not have the chance to go at life again?
When someone loses a loved one, we often hear them talk about how great the person was, how he lived his life beautifully, how he touched others’ lives and how he will be missed.
But what if that someone you love is a failure?
Against the standards that the world has set?
What if someone passes away leaving behind angry friends, scornful enemies and loose ends?
Yet you love him.
In your eyes, he is the perfect one. The one who loved you at your worst, the one who cheered proudly at your best.
In the world’s eyes, he is violent, selfish and deserving of his suffering. In your own eyes, he is misunderstood, selfless and full of real love. In your eyes, he is a human being who has made mistakes, who needs to be forgiven. In your heart, you hold those vulnerable moments he shared with you when he put down his guard to bare his soul. You know of his kindness that others never really saw in him.
As you live your life, growing in age, you realize you are so much like him. You find yourself uttering the same words, feeling the same things but this time, you learn from his mistakes, pick up the pieces and do better because he expects you to do so.
Because you love him so.
And while the world has judged him and has refused him compassion even when the heavens gave him so, you just do your best in life to show how much you love him and you hope that it is enough to give him the happiness he deserves, finally.
Wherever he may be.
Don’t you find mornings to be filled with hope and chances? The crawling mist even strengthens the power of hopeful mornings. These are morning scenes from the beautiful island of Camiguin.

I am so overwhelmed with this piece. First, I send you my deepest condolences for what reads like a heavy loss. I know this loss well. You wrote this so beautifully and compassionately. And those foggy images are captivating. I must get your name so I can address you more properly if that's okay 🙏🏻
Then I get to the end and see this completely amazing surprise that you spoke of me? 😮 It gave me tears. I never imagined I would affect anyone by writing. Words can't express my gratitude. Sending you a big hug.
